For less than the price of regular admission, you can treat your group of 50 or more to a whole day in the park plus an old-fashioned picnic in one of our three picnic locations. It’s the perfect way to get together and relax during your stay at Valleyfair.

One call to our friendly and knowledgeable staff of professional picnic planners is all it takes to turn this year’s picnic into an unforgettable experience. We’ll help arrange all of the details – from the catering menu to exclusive entertainment for your group – so you can relax and enjoy the day.

Treat your group to an old-fashioned picnic in one of our three picnic locations. Our beautifully wooded Picnic Cove, featuring covered pavilions, is just outside the park’s entrance. It’s the perfect setting for 50 or more guests.

The Dining Patio and Plaza Patio offer the convenience of staying inside the park. The flower-lined Dining Patio, overlooking the Flume, accommodates groups of 200-1000 guests, or choose the scenic and serene Plaza Patio, located in front of the Pepsi IMAX® Theater, for groups of 50–200 guests.

Catering Guidelines

• All menus are served in an all-you-can-eat, buffet style.
• The minimum group size for all catered meals is 50.
• Pavilion use is included with all catered events. Pavilion rental for groups not having a catered event is available for a two hour minimum at $100 per hour (Monday – Friday only).
• A final meal guarantee is due at least 10 days prior to your event.
• Any additional meals ordered within 10 days of the event will be subject to a 25% surcharge.  Any additional meals served on the day of the event will be subject to a 50% surcharge.  Any additions after the final count may be subject to menu substitutions.
• Bringing food or beverage to a group function at Valleyfair is prohibited. All food not consumed is the property of Valleyfair and cannot leave the premises.
• Groups may select only one meal option per service time allocated.  Vegetarian option may be added - minimum order of 12.
• Shirt and shoes are required for admission and food service.
• Catered picnics are held rain or shine.
• Prices subject to change without notice but become firm on your date of contract approval.
• No gratuities are added or accepted.
• All catering charges are subject to Minnesota State Sales Tax.
