What are the best times to visit Valleyfair?

The BEST time to visit might just be a rainy Minnesota day!  Why let a few raindrops get in your way of having a cool summer adventure? When the weather forecast calls for rain, it scares away those looking for a "picture perfect" day, opening the doors for those who can have fun in spite of a few raindrops.

Contrary to popular belief, holidays such as Memorial Day weekend, Fourth of July weekend and Labor Day weekend do not result in unusually large crowds, so this is also a good time to enjoy the park. Valleyfair recommends visiting on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday because attendance is typically lower on these days.  Our busiest months are July and August, while our busiest days are Saturdays.

Is Valleyfair admission required to use the Challenge Park activities?

Yes, Valleyfair admission is required to participate in Challenge Park activities.  Challenge Park is a separate charge attraction.

Is there a reduced rate for military members?

Yes.  Valleyfair's military discount program is available for all active or retired military personnel and their immediate family members.  The military discount price is $25.00.

Military discount tickets must be purchased at a Valleyfair ticket booth on the day of your visit to the park.  One discounted admission is allowed per valid military ID or military family ID.  Your ID must be presented at the time of purchase.  Children under 10 years of age who are accompanied by a parent/guardian who has a valid military ID or military family ID may also qualify for the military discount.
