What rides can my child ride?

Children may be "officially" measured at Guest Services located at the Front Gate. For the safety of your child, a standard play shoe which does not contribute excessively to the child's height will be permitted. Platform shoes, for example, are not permitted to be worn to help a child meet a height requirement. Valleyfair reserves the right to ask that shoes be removed to ensure that a child's height is not being artificially enhanced or manipulated.

Guests of exceptional size (height or weight)

For safety reasons, all passenger restraint systems, including our lap bars, shoulder harnesses and seatbelts, must fasten securely in order to allow guests to ride. Since rides vary and each person is built differently, it is not possible to provide specific dimensions that will preclude riding. However, in general, guests who are tall (over 6'4"), have a chest size of 52 inches or more, have a waistline over 40 inches, or women size 20 and over may have difficulty securing our safety devices. If you have concerns about your ability to fit comfortably and safely in a ride unit, please stop into our Guest Services Office for assistance.

What is your policy regarding Special Access for guests with mobility restrictions?

Special Access Entrances facilitate the boarding process for guests with mobility restrictions. In an effort to be fair to all guests, any person with a mobility restriction and one riding companion may enter a ride through the Special Access Entrance once their party has waited in the regular line and is ready to board. If only the guest with a mobility restriction and one other person are riding, they can receive a boarding time from the ride operator at the Special Access Entrance; after the boarding time has expired, they may return to the Special Access Entrance to board the ride.

Any guest who requires the use of Special Access Entrances must visit the Guest Services Office to receive a Special Access slip. Please note that this slip does not guarantee a guest’s ability to ride. Please refer to your individual ride admission policy list for rides that will safely accommodate you.
