Valleyfair shows demand well-rounded, versatile entertainers to engage our guests with a variety of popular musical styles like Top 40, country, R&B, rock ’n’ roll, and music just for kids. We have more than 40 positions to fill in the following areas:

| |
Singer/Dancers
| We are looking for strong singers who dance. Valleyfair shows feature totally live vocals, so we ask that you demonstrate your singing ability first. You must audition individually. |
| Prepare two songs, one up-tempo and one slow ballad, in the correct key, avoiding repetitive choruses. An accompanist will be provided but will not transpose. A standard cassette/CD player will also be available. You may bring your own accompanist or commercially-produced accompaniment tape/CD, but you may not sing a cappella. Some individuals may be asked to stay for a dance callback. Please be prepared to change into dance attire. |

Instrumentalists |
| All instrumentalists must audition individually. Choose two selections of contrasting styles which demonstrate your versatility (e.g. pop, country, classical). Avoid highly progressive jazz and hard rock. Sight reading may be requested. Drummers, be prepared to play a variety of styles (e.g. pop, jazz, rudiments). A drum set and a piano will be available, other players should provide their own instruments and amps for the audition. |

Street Performers |
| We are seeking “variety performers” to entertain our guests in a highly interactive walkway setting. Show us roughly two minutes of your most visually entertaining routines such as juggling, clowning, magic, mime, prop comedy, comic improv skills, etc. |

Colonel Ohoompapa
| As the owner of Valleyfair, Colonel John Philips Ohoompapa greets guests and entertains at special events throughout the park. Occasionally, Colonel represents Valleyfair at parades and promotional appearances around the Twin Cities. We are looking for strong performers with acting and movement skills. Applicants should be between 5'6' and 6'0' to fit into the costume. Send a detailed résumé (including your height) listing your experience with costumed character work, dance, children’s theater or recreation to the Live Entertainment Department no later than March 1, 2008. You may also attend one of the audition sites for an interview. |

Production Staff
| Be a sound engineer at our outdoor Gazebo Stage, be a projectionist or usher in our Pepsi IMAX® movie theater, or join the technical crew in our newest venue, the Galaxy Theater. |

Employment Information
Performance dates for our 2008 season include full-time schedules beginning between Memorial Day (May 26) and early June, and ending between late August and Labor Day (September 1), depending on show assignment. Some schedules will include weekends in May and/or September. |
