Tired of selling candy bars and magazine subscriptions?

If this is the case, Valleyfair has a program that could be right for you!  Our Fun Raising program gives non-profit groups and organizations the chance to earn money and have fun at the same time!  It hardly seems like work when you spend a day Fun Raising at the largest amusement park in the upper-Midwest.

If you're interested, continue reading to get the answers to all your fundraising questions.

How much will we make?

The donation made by Valleyfair will correspond with the number of volunteers in your group.  In other words, the more people you have in your group, the more money your organization will earn!  Below is a sample of earnings based off of group size.  Depending on the day(s) you are interested in, group sizes can be much larger.

Number of Volunteers* Total Earnings
10 $500
11-15 $750
16-20 $1,000
21-25 $1,250

* We ask that your group be at least 10 people strong. However, we will accept groups of less than 10. In such cases the pay is pro-rated at $50 per person.

When would we be paid?

Your organization should receive the donation check within 2-3 weeks from the date you volunteered.

How long will we have to work?

The shifts available for fundraising vary depending upon the park operating hours.  However, you need to be at Valleyfair one hour before your shift starts so we can sign in your group and provide a brief orientation and training before your shift begins.

During your shift you will be assigned a ½ hour break time.  You can bring a bag lunch or you can purchase food in our employee cafeteria.  Please be sure to tell your group to consider eating prior to getting to Valleyfair because breaks are usually about 4 hours after the start of a shift.  After your shift is completed, your group may go back into the park until closing.

Groups that work on days when the park closes at 5:00, 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. may not have the opportunity to go back into the park.  We will not be issuing starlight passes for park sellouts or early shifts.

PLEASE  pay careful attention to our operating hours!

Where do we go when we arrive?

Please use the employee entrance, which is located ½ mile west of the main entrance (in front of the IMAX Theater and the Waterpark).  Park in the employee parking lot and walk up the hill to the security gate.  From the security gate, you will be directed to our training facility.  A Valleyfair representative will meet you at the training facility.
