Wages

Wages/Bonus:

Valleyfair employees earn competitive pay. Wages range between $7.25 and $7.75 per hour. You can earn an extra $.70 - $1.00 per hour (depending on position) bonus for every hour worked throughout the summer by fulfilling your Offer of Employment and being an employee in good standing at the end of the season.

Programs

Referral Bonus:

You can earn $50 for each person you refer to Valleyfair who is subsequently hired. All you have to do is have the person mention your name during his/her interview. At the end of the season, when both of you have fulfilled your Offers of Employment, you will receive your referral check.

Weekend Work Incentive Program:

This program is designed to help employees who are still in school with expenses while working weekends. Employees earn a specific amount of money that is above and beyond their hourly wage, based on their current address. This program runs from the beginning of Valleyfair's season through mid-June and also from mid-August to the end of the season.

Memory Maker & Employee of the Week:

Guests and co-workers nominate employees who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. Weekly winners receive various prizes and are immortalized on our Memory Maker Wall of Fame.

Perks

Free Park Admission:

Valleyfair employees get into the park free with their valid Valleyfair ID. That's a $36.95 savings every time you enter the park! You will also earn up to four complimentary passes per season to give to your family and friends. Additional passes may be earned through other programs or may be purchased at a reduced price through the Human Resources Department.

Employee Events

Not only will you have the opportunity to meet people at work, you will also be able to meet many people at our after hours activities that are scheduled throughout the season. Weekly activities include:

Ride Nights:

Although you get free admission into the park, there's nothing like having an amusement park to yourself for a couple of hours. Several times during the season, after the park closes, we open some of the major rides for you and several hundred of your coworkers. At most Ride Night events, we also serve some of the park's specialty foods.

Waterpark Nights:

Just when you think the hot summer days will never end, we'll throw in a waterpark night. We open the waterpark attractions after the park closes, serve snacks and have entertainment.

Game Nights:

As a Valleyfair employee, you will not be allowed to play the games when you are working or visiting the park. However, we do offer employee Game Nights when you can test your skills on several of the games. Prizes are awarded to the employees with the highest skill level.

Sporting Events:

There's nothing wrong with a little healthy competition! Each season Valleyfair hosts golf, volleyball and bowling tournaments to name just a few.
