Hot Dish and Hops

Kicking off the flavorful summer, Valleyfair is bringing two of Minnesota’s favorites together for Hopdish and Hops, a celebration of Minnesota cuisine! Features include hotdish recipes that would make your Grandma proud and some of the best local craft beers. Join us May 26 – 29 and June 2 – 3 to experience all your favorites, like the Chicken Wild Rice or the classic Tator Tot hot dish!

Plus, in honor of this year’s new ride, North Star, Shakopee-based Badger Hill Brewing Company has created a new, exclusive North Star brew. In between food and drink tastings, enjoy local music, bingo games, a special meat raffle and a loon-calling contest live on the Gazebo stage!

Soon to follow will be Valleyfair’s Food Truck Festival, June 17 – 18! Enjoy all the best and most interesting food options from local food trucks. Each week will have a different theme and atmosphere, so come back to experience it all!

Park Food Offerings

Valleyfair also offers tasty treats throughout the park, all summer long! Crafted by our Culinary Manager & Chef, Luis Carrillo, the park catering and special event menus are as dynamic and thrilling as the park itself.

A native of Mexico, Luis has honed his culinary craft with stays at many well-known eateries across the US. Locally, Luis has held various chef positions at some of the Twin Cities top dining destinations, such as Prima and Blue Plate Restaurants Highland Grill, Longfellow and The Lowry.
