If you’re planning a trip to Valleyfair, you will definitely want to include the coolest place in the Upper Midwest to slide, splash, chill and dine: Soak City. Soak City features multiple waterslides, a wave pool, a lazy river and more and is great for kids and adults of all ages and the waterpark opens on May 26, 2018. Best of all, there is no extra admission to visit Soak City Waterpark since it is included in every Valleyfair ticket, which makes it the perfect place to cool off, relax, or get your daily dose of liquid refreshment on your trip to Valleyfair. In order to have the Best Day Ever, here are 5 tips and tricks for our Soak City Waterpark.

Arrive Early

Get in early, claim your spot, and soak up the sun before anyone else! Present your Gold or Platinum Season Pass and get into Valleyfair’s premium waterpark 15 minutes before it opens throughout the entire 2018 season.

Rent a Cabana

Take in some sun, enjoy the waves and then kick back in a private cabana. Each Cabana features a semi-private covered area including seating, poolside service, a ceiling fan for a cool breeze, and more. You’ll even have access to wave pool tubes, a TV, and receive a personal care basket. The poolside service menu contains delicious choices including pizza, burgers, snacks, soft drinks as well as adult beverages. Click here for more information on how to reserve a Cabana.

Don’t Forget the Sunscreen

We all know that sunscreen is extremely important for any day spent outdoors. Make sure you are reapplying every few hours to avoid getting scorched during your Soak City adventure. If you happen to forget your sunscreen, worry not! Splashdown Supplies, Breakers Beachwear and various merchandise locations throughout the park have a variety of sunscreens and sundries available for purchase.

When Hunger Strikes, Just Keep Swimming

Located near Breakers Bay Wave Pool, Beach Bites is the perfect place to snack on some freshly popped popcorn or cool off with a refreshing watermelon cup. Beach Bites also provides summer favorites like hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and chicken strips. For a special treat, Valleyfair has jumped on the Minnesota food truck trend with the “Taste of Valleyfair Food Truck” which is usually located in Soak City (Location subject to change). Enjoy a variety of park favorites with the truck’s fresh and rotating menu.

Pack Your Swimsuit

Swimsuits are required to participate in water park attractions. Pack a swimsuit the night before to make sure you don’t forget it! Remember, swimsuits with metal buttons, rivets, zippers, or snaps are not permitted on Panic Falls, Breakers Plunge, or Breakers Pipeline. Don’t worry, though, as swimsuits can be purchased in the water park at Splashdown Supplies.
