Valleyfair Names New Vice President and General Manager

Kelsey Bailey

Kelsey joined the Valleyfair team in 2017 as PR and Communications Manager. She enjoys eating endless funnel cakes, riding Renegade multiple times a day, and telling all the wonderful stories about the inner workings of Valleyfair.

Valleyfair is excited to announce Raul Rehnborg as the park's Vice President and General Manager.

Raul Rehnborg began his career at Knott's Berry Farm when he was just 17 years old. He started as a park services associate and continued to work at Knott's Berry Farm while studying at California Polytechnic State University; where he received his Aerospace Engineering degree.

After graduating college, Rehnborg had to make the decision between the aerospace and amusement park industries. With such passion for fun, Rehnborg chose to stay in the amusement park world.

When Cedar Fair purchased Knott's Berry Farm, Rehnborg knew there would be an opportunity to grow within the company. He stayed at Knott's Berry Farm for 22 years where he was promoted to Director of Soak City Waterpark.

Rehnborg then moved to San Diego to run Soak City Waterpark, which was operated by Knott's Berry Farm. In 2009, Rehnborg moved again, this time to Santa Clara, CA, to take over as the Vice President and General Manager of California's Great America.

"It was a great opportunity to run such a large operation at California's Great America," Rehnborg said.

During his short time in Minnesota, Rehnborg has already noticed the hospitality and 'Minnesota Nice' culture of the upper Midwest. He is excited to learn all about the Minnesota way of life.

Rehnborg is passionate about enhancing the overall guest experience. "There's a lot to be said about creating a new experience at Valleyfair," Rehnborg said, "It will be exciting to expand the way people think about Valleyfair with the introduction of new events and offerings including Minnesota Eats, Corn Feast, and more."

"My favorite part of working in the amusement park industry is seeing the joy that we bring to our guests," Rehnborg said, "It’s great to see families unplug from the day to day pressures of life and enjoy their time together."
