Valleyfair's NEW Spam on a Stick Recipe

Valleyfair is the Upper Midwest's largest amusement park, offering endless fun and thrills with world-class rides, attractions and live entertainment.

It is a fun but strange tradition in Minnesota to put any food possible on a stick, and then deep fry it. At Valleyfair, we already have a few favorite items on a stick: deep-fried pickles, regular pickles, the infamous Pronto Pup, bacon, shrimp, and veggies. In 2020, we are adding a new item to our on-a-stick line up, a Minnesota delicacy - spam.

For all you non-Minnesotans, let us assure you this new menu item is as delicious as it is non-nutritious. Spam is canned cooked pork invented by Hormel Foods Corporation right here in Minnesota. It was first produced in 1937 and gained notoriety worldwide after its use during World War II.

Since the park is not yet open for you to try this awesome new dish, we are giving you an exclusive look at the recipe along with tips and tricks on how to make Spam on a Stick at home.

We hope you enjoy it! Be sure to share your finished products with us on social media by tagging us @ValleyfairMN or using the hashtag #Valleyfair.
