You’ve likely seen them all over social media. From TikTok to YouTube, from Facebook to Instagram. We can genuinely say, without a doubt, that Squishmallows have taken over the world. We at Valleyfair find ourselves fascinated by not only how quickly they have grown in popularity but by how relevant they continue to be.
We wanted to understand how such a seemingly simple plush style could continue, over and over, to capture the attention of thousands across the US. Then, we felt some, and now, we understand. Not only are their embroidered features and bright colors welcoming, but hugging a Squishmallow is akin to embracing a cloud. Now we know the hype, and we have some fascinating news...
Everyone’s favorite huggable plush line has come to Valleyfair! Squishmallows have boomed in popularity recently and are more in demand than ever, with many collectors waiting in lines for hours to get their hands on those that remain the most in-demand. With launches online and in stores resulting in hours of waiting and limited edition sell-outs, we couldn’t help but want to learn more.
Squishmallows have been around since 2017 and since then have grown into something of a global phenomenon. They range from a minuscule 3.5” to a whopping 24” and can be found in many major retailers, including Walgreens, Costco, Amazon, Five Below, and more! There are over 500 characters in the Squishmallows family, and each comes with its own unique story.
Thanks to their newfound popularity, now you can also find both seasonal and limited edition Squishmallows in many of your favorite stores. We are excited to announce that Valleyfair not only offers these cute, fluffy companions in the form of game prizes but also in the form of merchandise!
You can now find Squishmallows as prizes in two different games in our Midway and one near the Mad Mouse coaster, as well as in our Sweet! Store near the pavilion at the park entrance. Make sure to check them all out because we love seeing you all walking around with your huggable Squishmallow buddies!
Of course, we also wouldn’t be Valleyfair if we didn’t sweeten the deal. So, this year Valleyfair, alongside our sister parks, offers a Cedar Fair Park-specific line of Squishmallows! Here at Valleyfair, we offer both the iconic Snoopy and his best friend Woodstock in Squishmallow form. You see, we here at Valleyfair are nuts about The Peanuts, and we know all of you are crazy about Squishmallows, so we thought... why not combine the two?
With this in mind, you can get your very own squishy Snoopy or Woodstock companion from our Snoopy Boutique, located near Mama Chetta’s and Monster ride.
