Things You NEED To Know Before Visiting an Amusement Park

You need to consider so many factors before you visit an amusement park. What to wear? What is the weather like? What do you want to accomplish while visiting? How many times do you want to visit? The questions sometimes seem endless. We want to make sure that everyone looking for something fun to do in the Twin Cities has Valleyfair on their list. To make sure that you make the most of your precious time during a visit to Valleyfair, we asked our social media followers for their top amusement park tips and tricks. Here is what they had to say.

@HyperYote on Twitter: If the park doesn't have a refillable plan (or you are not willing to buy it) bring a water bottle. Being dehydrated even a little bit makes theme parking not fun.

This is a top-tier trick. Valleyfair allows guests to bring in one factory-sealed water bottle or an empty refillable water bottle. In addition, all our restroom locations and refill stations offer free water refills. It is so important to stay hydrated while adventuring around the park. Bonus: Valleyfair offers All Day and All-Season Drink plans.

@_HannahBennet_11 on Twitter: if you're visiting with kids, utilize height wristbands! some parks have labeled wristbands that make it easy to check height requirements before getting in line- plus they won't be getting stopped and checked at every ride

Another amazing tip. Valleyfair allows kids to get measured when they first enter the park, and they get a colored wrist band that correlates with height restrictions on all our rides. So, Hannah was primarily correct in her suggestion, but we do want to note that our rides associates will still check kids' height at each ride but having the wrist band speeds up the process.

@ThatRoadTripMom on Twitter: Don't stress about doing it all. Leaving something undone is a great excuse to visit again (& another great reason to get a season pass!)

We promise we did not pay her to say this, but she is 100% correct. At Valleyfair, there is much to do with over 75 rides and attractions. When you throw in a trip to Soak City Waterpark, that makes for a full day. We encourage you to get a Season Pass so you can come back all season long to experience our wonderful events, every ride and slide, and try all our delicious food.

@TwinsSwim11 on Instagram: Whatever ride you are scared of (ex.renegade) do it first.

It's not bad advice, and we must agree. It's always best to face your fears right off the bat. If you tackle your most significant fear first, then the rest of your time in the park will seem less scary and more thrilling.

@TiffanyRG21 on Twitter: Tackle the rides you want to do most that typically have the longest lines first thing when it opens.

Another pro tip. We encourage you to get to the park right when it opens, or even 10-15 minutes before so you can get to your favorite thrills before the rest of the crowd rolls in. The further back you venture into the park, the fewer lines you will find.

We can't thank our followers enough for helping us put together this fantastic list of tips and tricks. Was there something we missed? Let us know in the comments below! It is only a few months until Opening Day 2022, and it is never too early to start planning your visit to Valleyfair.
