Valleyfair strives to be a strong member of our community. In efforts to make a difference in any way we can, we take pride in building relationships with various charities across Minnesota.   

Valleyfair Cares is our charitable commitment to our community to bring the best day ever to those who need it most. We do this by partnering with nonprofit organizations to provide donations, hosting inspiring events and fundraisers, and volunteering in our community.

It was a very laid back time to attend and she was able to go on the rides 2-3 times. These partnerships spread along with a large range of ways we can make an impact while supporting these charities such as donating a various number of tickets, offering the opportunity to have a place where organizations can spread their voice with those who are impacted or would like to join the mission, and more. 

A  partnership we have valued since 2018, includes the relationship with the organization – Tickets For Kids. Tickets For Kids holds true to its mission of “providing at-risk children with experiences that inspire hope, dreams, and achievements for a lifetime.” 

This nonprofit organization provides free access for low-income kids to attend numerous different venues across the community. Venues include arts, cultural, educational, and athletic locations and in our case a family-friendly amusement park.  "Valleyfair has been an incredible partner to Tickets for Kids," states Regional Director Susan Murray. "If it wasn’t for this partnership, these kids wouldn’t know the thrill and joy of a simple day at an amusement park. The impact is so much more than a ticket, it is a chance for kids to see a bigger and more exciting world."

In support of their mission, this year Valleyfair donated 1,200 tickets (200 tickets per month, an increase up from 100 tickets per month) for children in our community distributed by Tickets for Kids to enjoy a day at our two-in-one amusement park.

Among those who have traveled near and far to enjoy a day with us, many have had great experiences. 

"Living in a small northern Minnesota town can feel a little isolating when there are so few opportunities to experience other cultures and environments. In a struggling economy, having opportunities like these, that allow families to bring down costs, is awesome and gives families opportunities they wouldn’t have otherwise. The children and two of the adults in attendance had never been to a theme park such as this before, and it was inspiring to see their reactions to all of the new things they were able to experience."

With the huge success, we have been grateful to give back to a much deserving community and support this organization’s mission. We continue to strive to be a place where all are welcome and give those an experience to remember.
