Valleyfair Partners with American Cancer Society

On Friday, August 23, the spirit of hope and cheer will fill the air at Valleyfair as we partner with the American Cancer Society's Gold Together initiative to support childhood cancer. This special event promises to be a day of joy, resilience, and community as families affected by childhood cancer come together for a memorable experience. Donors who give to Gold Together at the $75 level and above are invited to a day of fun at Valleyfair including admission and parking, a catered lunch, and program. Anyone can donate!
Childhood cancer is the second leading cause of death in children ages 1 to 14, profoundly impacting families and communities in Minnesota and across the nation. The American Cancer Society’s Gold Together initiative is crucial in this fight, increasing awareness, providing support to families, and dedicated volunteers who help offer a lifeline of resources and hope to those in need.
"Gold Together is more than an initiative; it's a lifeline for families facing the unimaginable,” says Lynn Poferl, Minnesota Gold Together Chair and Volunteer. “Knowing firsthand the impact this disease can have on not only your child but anyone their life touches, we strive to bring hope, resources, and support to those affected by childhood cancer, ensuring no one has to face this journey alone."
Our charitable arm, Valleyfair Cares, is committed to making a difference in the community by partnering with nonprofit organizations that help children and families in need, including children facing life-threatening illnesses.
